Buying birthday presents for BBZ is never easy.
Not because he’s different from other boys.
If anything, he enjoys all the things you’d expect for a two-year-old. Fast cars, deep puddles and random leaps into the unknown – yep, pretty much the norm.
But he is the youngest of three and since the day he was born, he has been surrounded by toys toppling from every cupboard.
So as his birthday approached, we asked ourselves the same question: “What can we get him that is just his?â€
Well, thanks to the clever people at Matchbox, we found something that made his day, and probably the whole year – the Big Boots Blaze Brigade Vehicle.
BBZ loves this fire truck, because it does exactly what he wants it to do.
Even before he found the button on the right hand side, he was using the ladder to launch the Big Boots fire team over the car park.
Every time a firefighter tumbles over and over, only to land on his weighted base, my toddler giggles with delight.
To him, it is magic. No matter what he does, the team never falls over.
Pull the bumper and the two fins on either side of the truck tip up, launching anyone sitting there high in the air.
Still they land on their feet.
All this and they fight blazing fires too.
The front of the truck pulls down so that two of the brigade can drive to the next incident and you can spray water from the hose.
Well that’s BBZ a happy chappy. What about me?
Well, in my opinion, this toy is well crafted and durable. The characters are fun.
Best of all, the fire truck does not make a noise and does not require batteries. That makes me very happy too.
BBZ’s challenge now is keeping his big brother and sister away from it!
